ashes!
In 2016, during the uprisings against the emergency rule imposed in the Kurdish regions of Turkey was proclaimed, I worked until
2016 in the cities of Cizre, Nusaybin, Silopi, İdil and Sirnak. In the same year I received the Musa Anter and Martyrs for the Free Press Journalism Award for a photo I took after the curfew was abolished in the city of Idil. In this picture stands a piece of ases from a jacket. The wall where the coat is on
hung, was filled with traces of lead. War photos exist
usually from corpses or demolished houses. I thought the frame
that I photographed best described the war. There was a live in that jacket and the walls. But the war changed them all in ashes.
